The Bernedoodle is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. This hydbrid blends the intelligence and low to non-shedding qualities of the Poodle with the loyal, loving, laid back personality of the Bernese.
No two Bernedoodles are the same. Because the two parent genes meld together there is no predicting the outcome. If you want predictability then you would want to explore a purebred pet. The one thing that we can predict is their wonderful personality. With a hybrid comes the combination of both purebred parents. Most Bernedoodles have a moderate activity level. They love to play, run, hike and ultimately be by your side. Most are 50lbs and up and 23-29 inches at the shoulder. It is rare to see a Bernedoodle with a straight coat. The straighter the coat the more likely they are to shed.
I believe the Bernedoodle is a WONDERFUL companion animal. They are meant to be at your side no matter what you are doing. Whether you are running, hiking, or just laying on the couch... they want to be by your side.
